For those of you who are coming to our lovely little island a few days before the ICM, we have decided to prepare an Extra Nights Package which definitely wont disappoint you.
Spread over three days, that is, from Thursday 18th March to Saturday 20th March, us of the OC have come up with a fun-filled action-packed program which will see us do a number of activities that our island can offer. The logistics and organization of all the events is done by us, however each event comes at its own cost which you are required to pay and does not form part of the ICM fees. The events and their relevant fees are listed below.
Badger Karting is the latest expression of karting in the Mediterranean and the local raceway has a fleet of 30 petrol powered karts. These can reach speeds of up to 80km/h, which when combined with the twists and turns of the 17 different track layouts, deliver a perfect blend of thrill and adrenaline.
The price for this activity is 45 euro which includes a minimum of 3 races tournament style with the Final for the best races.
Paintball is an exciting game where players try to mark opposing team members with paint expelled from an air powered paint marker. Points are awarded for objectives reached and opposing team members eliminated. It is advisable to wear strong footwear and it is considered sensible to bring gloves and a soft cap of some sort… However, the most important thing to bring with you is a sense of humour.
The price for this activity is 28 euro which includes 5 paintball sessions of 15 minutes each having 50 paint balls per session.
For those of you who love the great outdoors we will take you on a hike around Malta’s most picturesque and original spots, like Ghajn Tuffieha, Golden Bay and Bingemma.
The hike will be two hours long and water will be provided by the OC.
March is not the hottest month of the year in Malta but we still thought it would be good to cool down with a good old water fight between delegations.
The battlefield is yet to be decided but bring your bathing costumes just in case.
We are going to organize a treasure hunt whereby you will be divided into teams and be sent off in search of clues dispersed around our capital city, Valletta. A crafty mind, good navigation skills, and teamwork are the qualities needed for this activity which will see the winners win a mystery prize.
Details of this activity will be given later on.
We will pay a visit to our beloved sister island of Gozo, the second biggest island of the Maltese archipelago. We will go to the Gozitan Capital of Rabat, visit the market, Ta Pinu Church, the Cittadella and taste the typical Gozitan cheese called gbejniet. We will also give you some free time to do some shopping and our visit will last all day.
The price for this activity is 20 euro which includes the boat ticket and transport.
VIP: Every activity is subject to the weather conditions and the OC reserves the right to postpone the activity in the event of bad weather.
You are required to choose which activity/ies you want to do and email your choice to president@elsamalta.org.
The exact day when each activity is going to be held is subject to availability.
The price of every activity is to be paid directly to the OC once you are in Malta.
